Pyongyang
Pyongyang is the capital of North Korea, located in the west of the country on the Taedong River, about 50 km from the Yellow Sea. It is the main economic and cultural center, with numerous landmarks and attractions, such as the Ryugyong Hotel. The city is situated about 180 km from the Korean Demilitarized Zone. Average summer temperatures are around 25 °C, while in winter they drop to -5 °C. The best time to visit is spring or autumn, when the weather is mild and pleasant.
